Creamy, garlicky pasta cooked in one pot with Parmesan, milk, and optional vegetables or protein for a quick, comforting meal.

Ingredients

8 ounces pasta (penne, fusilli, or farfalle)
2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups milk or half-and-half
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 cup baby spinach or other vegetables (optional)
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced (optional)
1/2 cup cooked chicken or shrimp (optional)
Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a large pot, sauté garlic 1–2 minutes.

  • Add milk and pasta; simmer until pasta is tender, stirring frequently.

  • Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes until sauce thickens.

  • Add optional vegetables or protein; cook 2–3 minutes until heated through.

  • Garnish with parsley or basil and serve immediately.

Notes

Add extra milk when reheating leftovers to restore creaminess. Substitute dairy or pasta to fit dietary needs.
