A smooth, rich, no-bake chocolate cheesecake with a cookie crust and mousse-like filling. Easy to make, stunning to serve, and utterly indulgent.
24 chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos), crushed
6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
8 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped to stiff peaks
Mix cookie crumbs with melted butter. Press into 9-inch pan. Chill crust.
Melt chocolate and let cool slightly.
Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Mix in melted chocolate until smooth.
Fold in whipped cream gently in batches.
Pour filling over crust. Smooth top and refrigerate 6+ hours.
Garnish before serving. Slice with warm knife.
Store chilled for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
