For the Cake:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups peeled and chopped apples (about 2 medium-sized)
For the Glaze:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch sheet pan.
