Soft vanilla cake pops with a pink candy shell and white sprinkles, inspired by Starbucks birthday cake pops.

Ingredients

Scale

1 baked vanilla cake, cooled
¾ cup vanilla buttercream frosting
12 oz white candy melts
Pink gel food coloring
White nonpareil sprinkles
20–24 lollipop sticks

Instructions

  • Crumble cooled cake into fine crumbs.

  • Mix in frosting until crumbs hold together.

  • Roll into balls and chill until firm.

  • Melt candy coating and tint pink.

  • Dip sticks in coating and insert into cake balls.

  • Dip cake pops fully, add sprinkles, and let set.

Notes

Chill between steps for best structure. Store refrigerated.
