Lemon Chicken with Lemon Butter Sauce features tender chicken cutlets simmered in a bright and buttery lemon garlic sauce.

Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
¾ cup chicken broth
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Slice chicken breasts into thinner cutlets and season with salt and pepper.

  • Lightly coat chicken in flour.

  • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet and cook chicken until golden.

  • Remove chicken and sauté garlic briefly.

  • Add broth and lemon juice and simmer to reduce slightly.

  • Return chicken to the pan and spoon sauce over the top.

  • Sprinkle with parsley and lemon zest before serving.

Notes

Fresh lemon juice provides the best flavor for the sauce.
