For the Dough:

  • 1 box (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)

  • 1/2 cup softened butter

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

For the Filling:

  • 1/2 cup softened butter

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

For the Frosting:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch round pans.

  • Mix yeast, sugar, and warm milk; let it foam.

  • Mix in pumpkin, butter, egg, salt, and flour to make the dough. Let rise for 1-1.5 hours.

  • Roll out the dough and spread with filling. Roll up and cut into pieces.

  • Shape into pumpkins by pinching the top. Let rise for 30 minutes.

  • Bake for 18–22 minutes.

  • Make frosting and spread over rolls. Garnish with chocolate shavings or cinnamon.
