Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • ¼ cup whole milk

  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and line a 9-inch pan.

  • Sift together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.

  • Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.

  • Mix in sour cream, milk, and vanilla.

  • Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  • Pour into pan and bake 35–45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool, slice, and serve.

Notes

Top with powdered sugar, fruit, or glaze. Store at room temp up to 3 days.
